We hate to brag, but our collective musical knowledge here is pretty high. In fact, I think we should receive on honourary doctorate in musicology. But until that day comes we’ll just have to spend our time in debates about musical greats. One area we NEVER debate is how good the Sole Power Live Band is. We’re a little bit spoiled here as we get to work with Mayhem’s Finest Dance Troop on a pretty consistent basis. We all know the are amazing but it always helps to have a friendly reminder. Our friends at DMS recently put together a fantastic music video for Mayhem and it reminded us of their awesomeness. Enjoy.

3 years ago someone introduced me to Pandora,a streaming music service that I thought would change the way I listen to music online. Then they banned it in Canada and my dream was crushed. I haven’t come across much comparable until recently when songspin and grooveshark came across my monitor. Both great sites categorized by genre, I can guarantee any music lover has these in their bookmarks. Gotta love the tunes

Tonight is the night. Top vendours from across the GTA come together for the biggest events expo in the industry. Lots to get excited for including but not limited to, amazing prizes at the balloon pop, CivilRose’s first expo, sushi sushi sushi, and JC Barkie and Sole Power’s own BK with a surprise up their sleeve. You won’t wanna miss it.

Sole Power supports many charities and causes, knowing that giving back is a huge part of what we do. One event we are so proud of is the Walk To End Breast Cancer, who also recently posted their video promoting this year’s walk. Look closely around the 2 minute mark… for a Sole Power staff member appearance, and don’t be shy about spreading the word for an amazing cause.

Sole Power recently moved offices and we couldn’t be happier with the change. Great location, sleek, modern and fun our new office is a great place to work. There is one place in Huainan City , China however that makes us even a little jealous. Take a look below…coolest concept for an office ever? Maybe, but it must be pretty hard to tune.

Ya, I know. Just a short while ago, we posted a blog entry about Toronto, but when you live in one of the greatest cities in the world why not embrace it? This Pet Shop Boys parody has a few hilarious Toronto stereotypes and some clever lyrics to boot. If you don’t enjoy the song (might not be everyone’s cup of tea) you can at least say “hey I know that spot”. (That’s really mostly what I did.)

This past weekend saw Jeremy Evans crowned this year’s slam dunk king… And for good reason.
He was the best on the night (not bad for a last minute replacement), but to be honest he fell short of what the last decade and a half has brought us. We can applaud Evans for his work, but also take some time to remember those that brought us out of our seat.
